Your guide will take you as close as possible to the craft of upholstering, taking you to 2 or 3 working workshops! After years of work, the masterpieces created in the workshops are made available to furnish the high places of the French Republic.
- Take a behind-the-scenes tour of Printemps, from the Grand Magasin’s underground passageways to the garden roof and its breathtaking view of the capital, via the famous Art Deco dome. This guided tour will reveal the secrets of the Grand Magasin’s architecture, history and operation. You’ll be able to admire the floating staircases, the store’s original grilles and the hidden faces of the majestic domes.
- Paris Street Art at Butte aux Cailles: This district has the air of a country village. Its bucolic atmosphere has made it a paradise not only for walkers but also for street artists, who leave their ephemeral works on the walls. Along the way, your guide will reveal the keys to understanding an urban art movement in constant evolution, full of poetry and intimately linked to the history of this atypical district in the heart of Paris.
- Secret Invalides tour: You’ll enter places that are usually closed to the public. While learning about the history and architecture of the site, your guide will take you to the reception rooms of the Musée de l’Armée, the Saint-Louis des Invalides cathedral, areas closed to the public and the majestic Église du Dôme, home to Napoleon’s tomb… Anecdotes, riddles and legends will punctuate your tour.
- Become a perfumer’s apprentice by customizing your own eau de Cologne. An unforgettable, fun and captivating sensory experience centered on the creation of a scent in aromatic, citrus and orange blossom notes. Lasting 1h30, the session is led by a perfumery professional and takes place in the Musée du Parfum’s Atelier du Parfumeur. At the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with your own creation in an elegant, personalized 100ml bottle and pouch, a diploma signed by the teacher and your apprentice perfumer’s apron.
