There is so much to see in Normandy, a week isn't enough! So we've come up with 2 alternatives after you've visited the D-Day landing beaches.

Detailed program

Day 1: D-Day Landing Beaches

Arrival in Calvados early afternoon.

Guided tour of the D-Day landing beaches: Arromanches, the remains of the artificial harbour and the 360° film, Omaha Beach American cemetery and Pointe du Hoc.

Dinner and overnight in Bayeux (or Caen).

Day 2: Bayeux : History & Terroir

In Bayeux, audio-guided tour of the Musée de la Tapisserie de la Reine Mathilde, followed by a stroll through the old town.

Guided tour of a cider house from the orchards to the cellar, followed by a visit to a dairy farm where delicious ice creams are made using milk produced on site by the cows and fresh fruit.

Dinner and overnight in Bayeux (or Caen).

Day 3: Falaises et Livarot

Drive to Falaise.

Visit to the Castle of William the Conqueror, built on a rocky outcrop OR the Falaise Memorial “The Civil War”. At the “Cheese Village” of the Graindorge cheese dairy, discover and taste delicious Norman cheeses such as Livarot, Camembert, Neufchâtel and Pont L’Évêque.

On the way back, stop at a distillery and taste Calvados

Dinner and overnight in Bayeux (or Caen).

SUGGESTION A: HEADING WEST

Day 4: Le Mont-Saint-Michel   

Visit to the Villedieu les Poêles bell foundry, the only one of its kind in France.

Arrival at Mont St Michel in the late morning.

Guided tour of the village and abbey, then drive to Saint Malo.

Dinner and overnight in Saint Malo.

(Option: walk across the Bay of Mont St Michel instead of visiting the foundry).

Day 5: Saint-Malo   

In Rothéneuf, visit the astonishing sculpted rocks, then stroll to the sumptuous Pointe du Grouin.

Arrival in Cancale, guided tour of the oyster beds, including tasting.

Return to Saint Malo and guided tour of the “Corsair City”.

Dinner and overnight in Saint Malo.

Day 6: Dinard – Dinan  

Crossing by sea bus to Dinard; guided tour of the Pointe de la Malouine and its astonishing villas.

Coach journey to Dinan. Visit of the medieval town.

Free lunch and end of our services.

SUGGESTION B: HEADING EAST

Day 4: Deauville – Honfleur – Rouen   

Discover Deauville and its famous beaches, then Honfleur, with its picturesque streets and Old Basin lined with restaurants.

Continue to Rouen. Visit the Historial Jeanne d’Arc. Walking tour of the old town.

Dinner and overnight in Rouen

Day 5: Étretat – Fécamp    

In Étretat, discovery of the famous cliffs and visit of the Jardins d’Étretat.

In Fécamp, visit of the Benedictine Palace including a “cocktail workshop”.

Dinner and overnight in Rouen.

Day 6: Giverny  

Morning dedicated to Impressionist painting in Giverny.

Visit the Monet Foundation or the Musée des Impressionnismes.

Lunch (free or included, according to your preference)
