Detailed program
Day 1: Morbihan
Arrival in Brittany late morning/early afternoon
Discover Carnac, famous for its megalithic alignments. Guided tour of the “Maison des Mégalithes” and one of the sites.
Drive to Quimper via Auray, a charming town, and visit to the picturesque port of Saint Goustan
Dinner and accommodation in Quimper
Day 2: Finistere Sud
In Pont-Aven, a one-hour guided cruise on the river Aven, followed by a tour of the town, its narrow streets and flower-bedecked promenades
Drive to Concarneau and free visit of the walled town built in the 13th century
Visit of the Conserverie Courtin where sardine and tuna rillettes, fish soups and tinned sardines are made.
Arrival in Quimper. Visit to the cookie factory, the last place you’ll see the famous crêpes dentelle made by hand
Dinner and overnight stay in Quimper
Day 3: Pointes du Finistère
Departure for the Pointe du Raz and discovery on foot of this site classified “Grand site de France”
Discovery of the Penmarc’h Peninsula. Visit the Eglise St-Nonna, then continue west to the coast to visit the 15th-century Chapelle de Notre-Dame de la Joie, facing the Atlantic Ocean. Finally, 1 km to the south, stop at the tip of the Peninsula where two lighthouses stand: the “Ancien Phare” and the “Phare d’Eckmühl”
Then stop off at the Port du Guilvinec where you will witness the return of the inshore fishermen before experiencing the fish auction in the company of a guide
Dinner and overnight stay in Quimper
Day 4: Pointes du Finistère
Drive north to Locronan, one of the “Most Beautiful Villages in France”. Stroll through the village and visit the Eglise St Ronan and the Chapelle du Penity. Then on to the Crozon peninsula.
Lunch at Camaret sur Mer (free or included, depending on your preference)
Discovery of the Presqu’île with a guide, in particular the sumptuous Pointe de Pen-Hir
Dinner and overnight stay in Morlaix or surrounding area
Day 5: Cotes d’Armor
Drive to the Pink Granite Coast. Walk through the granite chaos of Ploumanac’h
Visit the impressive St Tugdual cathedral in Tréguier, then stroll through this pretty town of 57 half-timbered houses.
In Plouezoc’h, visit the astonishing Barnenez Cairn
Dinner and overnight stay in Morlaix or surrounding area.
Day 6: Côte d’Armor – Saint-Malo
Discovery of Cap Fréhel and visit to the astonishing Château de La Roche Goyon, also known as Fort La Latte
Arrival in Saint-Malo late morning.
Guided tour of the “Corsair City” and end of our services.
